Job summary

CHOC in San Diego is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform high-complexity testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology and Blood Bank, with QC/QA, preventive maintenance and test validation. You will review and report results per standards while maintaining knowledge of hospital and laboratory policies.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 1 year of lab experience (4 years preferred), and California CLS licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in clinical laboratory science or a related field.
• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience minimum; 4 years of experience preferred.
• Licensure: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist) required or eligible; Limited CLS licenses may be accepted with scope limitations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology & Blood Bank.
• Execute QC/QA procedures, preventive maintenance and test validation.
• Review and report test results in accordance with laboratory standards.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital and laboratory policies and procedures.
