Job summary

CHOC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II - HADL in Orange, CA to perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing across hematology, coagulation, molecular pathology, and flow cytometry. The role includes research collaboration and project coordination with leadership.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or equivalent, a valid California CLS license, and at least six months of CL experience; two+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or equivalent.
• Valid Clinical Lab Scientist – CA (CLS) license.
• Minimum six (6) months of Clinical Laboratory experience.
• Preferred: Over two (2) years of Clinical Laboratory experience; experience in design of laboratory developed tests (LDT).
• Ability to lead and coordinate projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing per CLIA.
• Specialized tests in Hematology, Coagulation, Molecular Pathology, and Flow Cytometry.
• Participate in design and implementation of test development and research projects as needed.
• Coordinate projects and communicate status and improvement areas to leadership.
