Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from a NACCLS approved program or equivalent.
• MT/CLS (ASCP) or equivalent; TN State License within six months of hire.
• Maintain 12 CE hours annually as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports routine and special laboratory tests in designated sections.
• Evaluates and reports test results per procedures and maintains records.
• Operates, calibrates, and maintains instruments; troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Instructs MLT students and acts as lead tech in a designated section when needed.
• Obtains specimens from patients and ensures proper handling and documentation.
