Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center, Riverdale GA, seeks a per diem Night Shift Clinical Lab Scientist II (Medical Technologist) to join our hospital laboratory team. You will perform a broad range of tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Immunology and Microbiology, ensuring accurate results and compliance with QA procedures.

Preferred ASCP certification, a Bachelor’s degree in a health science field, and at least two years of hospital lab experience, plus a current state license where required.

Qualifications

• ASCP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
• Minimum two years of hospital laboratory work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license if required by the location.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids across multiple disciplines.
• Interpret lab results and identify abnormalities to assist physician decisions.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures and calibrate instruments.
• Maintain accurate records and enter data into laboratory information systems.
• Ensure laboratory operations comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
