Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, microscopic, microbiological and hematological tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Record lab test data, patient and quality control information.
• Participate in quality control procedures and corrective actions.
• Maintain care of expensive laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Assist in training new lab personnel, externs and students.
• Handle infectious material carefully to protect laboratory personnel and evaluate test results for accuracy.
