Job summary

Ascension Saint Alexius - Hoffman Estates in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist to join our laboratory team. The role covers specimen processing, test performance and reporting results across waived, moderate and high complexity testing as authorized by the Director.

You will participate in quality control, comply with quality management standards, and assist with specimen collection as needed.

Qualifications

• MLT/MT certification recognized in the sector.
• Associates degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or in chemical, physical or biological sciences.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens, perform tests and report results following procedures.
• Participate in quality control procedures and adhere to QA standards (JCAHO, CAP, CLIA).
• Perform specimen collection as necessary.
