Job summary

The successful candidate will maintain accurate results, comply with policies, and collaborate with teams across the health system. A California CLS license is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required.
• Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
• Current CA CLS License.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of laboratory tests by manual methods or use of various automated, mechanical or electronic devices.
• Perform the full range of duties from specimen procurement through data analysis and reporting, to provide data for detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Ensure accuracy of results and accountability for data.
