Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist for its high-volume laboratory. The role focuses on maintaining instrumentation, ensuring quality control, and training staff to uphold competency and accuracy in testing.

The candidate will perform testing within established timeframes, address issues promptly, and contribute to departmental efficiency in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and MT certification with ASCP or equivalent.
• Must meet Clinical Laboratory Act requirements (1988).
• Registered with ASCP or eligible for registry as Medical Technologist/HTL.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.

Experience

• Four (4) years of laboratory experience as an MLT/HT (internal CLS2); OR Two (2) years of laboratory experience as a MT/HTL (internal CLS3)

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

• Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent

Compensation/Benefits

• $26.77-$43.71/hr depending on previous experience
