Job summary

Mount Ascutney Hospital seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform lab tests ordered by providers in an accurate and timely manner. This role includes performing venipunctures and capillary draws for inpatients, the Emergency Department, and outpatients as required.

Qualifications: MLT/CLT with an Associate in Applied Science in Medical Technology or CLS, or MT/CLS with a BS in MT/CLS. ASCP registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Execute venipunctures and capillary draws for inpatients, ED, and outpatients.

Position Summary

Responsible for performing the lab tests ordered by providers in an accurate and timely manner. Performing venipunctures and capillary draws on Inpatients, Emergency Department patients, and Outpatients as required.

Qualifications

MLT/CLT: Associate in Applied Science degree in Medical Technology (MT) orClinical Laboratory Science (CLS)

MT/CLS: Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology (MT)or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS)

Licensure & Certifications

MLT/CLT & MT/CLS: Registration with a nationally recognized certifying organization is highly recommended. ASCP registration is preferred.
