Qualifications

• Associates degree with certification or Bachelor's degree with certification in clinical laboratory.
• State-of-the-art knowledge of CAP/CLIA/JCI standards and accreditation.
• Experience leading a hospital clinical laboratory and coordinating QA programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily operations of the clinical laboratory, including personnel and testing resources.
• Organizes workflow to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensures compliance with CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission and other accreditation standards.
• Assists with budget development for capital equipment, supplies and personnel.
• Serves as CAP Inspector every other year, as needed.
• Maintains schedules, conducts evaluations, and ensures accurate timekeeping.
