Job summary

AMR Clinical in Lexington, KY is seeking a Lab Coordinator to support the clinical research team. The role ensures lab activities are completed timely and per study protocol, including processing and shipping samples, maintaining logs, and ensuring equipment calibration.

You will train staff, assist with monitoring visits, handle phlebotomy and other specimen collection as needed, and help optimize workflows while maintaining safety standards (GCLP, ICH-GCP, FDA, OSHA).

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Lab processing experience required.
• Medical Laboratory Technology degree preferred.
• College graduate preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot lab equipment malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Perform quality control checks on sample processing and storage.
• Troubleshoot processing delays and equipment issues.
• Support sponsor and monitor visits with document retrieval and audits.
• Develop and implement lab training programs.
• Collaborate with study teams to optimize workflows.
• Draw and process lab samples per protocol.
• Maintain logs for equipment and storage temperatures.
• Assist with remote monitoring activities and safety measures.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment.
