Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Compliance Coordinator to ensure regulatory compliance across laboratory services, quality, and safety. You will collaborate with Medical Directors and department teams to align with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.

The role requires quality management expertise, training capability, and strong documentation practices, with travel to off-site locations and a hybrid work arrangement offering some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in clinical laboratory, Transfusion Medicine, or Blood Gas Laboratory.
• Knowledge of CAP and TJC Standards; IDOT, OSHA and CLIA regulations; CLSI guidelines.
• Knowledge of AABB standard and FDA regulations (applies to Blood Bank).
• Must have valid driver's license and willingness to travel to off-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a quality management system for services.
• Facilitates compliance with federal, state, local regulations and hospital policies.
• Prepares inspections and reports quality issues and trends.
• Ensures documentation and training of staff on quality and safety.
• Acts as safety liaison and coordinates audits and corrective actions.
