Job summary

Providence Covenant Hospital Plainview is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to support technologists across Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Histology. You will process specimens, perform clerical duties, and relay information between the lab and hospital teams.

This onsite role requires commutable distance to Plainview, TX. Per diem/on-call shifts provide flexibility as you contribute to patient-focused care and accurate lab testing in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medical Terminology.
• Computer experience to include Windows Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine collection procedures and assist technologists in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Histology.
• Process laboratory specimens.
• Coordinate and perform clerical/reception duties pertaining to laboratory testing.
• Relay information between the laboratory and hospital areas and clients.
