Job summary

Providence Health Plan Group is seeking a lab technician to assist in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Histology. You will process specimens and support clerical duties, liaising between the lab and other hospital areas.

This onsite role is part of Covenant Hosp Plainview operations, with opportunities across multiple shifts including on call/per diem coverage. A strong emphasis on accuracy and patient-focused care is required.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medical Terminology.
• Computer experience to include Windows Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine collection procedures, assists technologists and technicians in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology.
• Processes laboratory specimens and coordinates clerical/reception duties related to laboratory testing.
