Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Support professional to perform routine collection procedures and assist technologists across Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology. You will process laboratory specimens and handle clerical duties, coordinating with hospital departments and clients to ensure accurate testing and timely communication of results.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-focused care, and adherence to best practices with opportunities

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Computer skills including Excel and Word (Windows) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine collection procedures and assists technologists and technicians in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology.
• Coordinates and performs clerical/reception duties related to laboratory testing and relays information between the laboratory and other hospital areas.
• Relays information between clients and laboratory staff to ensure accurate test processing and timely results.
