Qualifications

• Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.

• PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician preferably upon hire.

• Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required.

Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 W. Randol Mill Rd. Arlington, TX 76012

Work hours: Full Time - Evenings, Sunday through Thursday 1330-2200.

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has a rich history in North Texas serving the local communities of Arlington, Kennedale, Pantego, Mansfield and Grand Prairie. We specialize in comprehensive medical/surgical care, cancer care, women’s services, behavioral health, neurosciences and emergency medicine. Plus, we’re a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, Level III Maternal Newborn care unit and a Level III Trauma Center. What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. (Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required. CLIAFE)
• Six (6) months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
• PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician is preferred upon hire.
  
  

What You'll Do

• For those entities performing phlebotomy, employee follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient
• Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
• Reports and evaluates test results
• Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care
