Job summary

The Elliot Hospital Laboratory in Manchester, NH is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant. You will be the primary contact for patients and providers, performing customer service tasks and non-technical duties to keep specimens moving through the lab from collection to storage.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and specimen handling, accurate patient labeling, entering orders into EPIC, handling phone inquiries, and supporting the lab team during holidays and weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience preferred.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine venipuncture and capillary collection with proper technique.
• Identify patients and label specimens accurately in all settings.
• Receive and process specimens, and enter orders into EPIC.
• Answer calls and provide testing information to patients and providers.
• Support lab operations and help with holiday/weekend coverage as needed.
