Job summary

Kettering Health in Miamisburg, OH is seeking a full-time phlebotomy technician to perform pre-analytic specimen processing and collect blood and other samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture across all patient areas.

You will label, accession, and distribute specimens, instruct patients on urine sample collection and tolerance tests, and handle other duties as assigned, contributing to safe, accurate laboratory work within a not-for-profit health system.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year experience or graduation from phlebotomy program.

Responsibilities

• Pre-analytic processing of specimens including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Collects specimens and labels/distributes them to the appropriate departments.
• Instructs patients on urine sample collection and tolerance testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
