Job summary

Kettering Health Miamisburg is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our not-for-profit health system serving southwest Ohio. You will collect blood and urine samples, label and route specimens, and instruct patients on collections in various settings.

The ideal candidate has basic phlebotomy training, attention to detail, and a willingness to work varied shifts in a collaborative inpatient/outpatient environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year of phlebotomy experience or graduation from phlebotomy program.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens; collects specimens; accessions, labels and distributes specimens including blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture in all patient areas
• Instructs patients in the collection of urine samples and tolerance test in all patient areas.
• Other duties assigned
