• Performs patient registration and insurance checks with attention to detail.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Handles and processes specimens in accordance with policy, ensuring proper identification.
• Maintains a clean working environment and manages inventory to reduce waste.
• Communicates effectively with shifts and interdepartmentally regarding patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood from patients of all ages as required by physician orders.
• Processes blood to prepare for testing in all laboratory areas.
• Responds to phone inquiries and refers problems to the appropriate supervisor.
• Demonstrates professionalism and adheres to company values and standards.
