Job summary

TriCore is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant to work at Woodward/Specimen Management. This hourly position offers weekend shifts, on-site attendance, and potential apprenticeship for those new to the field. The role involves handling patient specimens, basic clerical tasks, and maintaining confidentiality.

Experience with multiple modalities may affect progression through CLA levels. Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for PBT/ASCP certification or completion

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a CLA program or similar training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory to support departmental functions.
• Observe students or new staff as needed.
• Demonstrates professional judgment in handling clients, patients and co-workers.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities and holiday/weekend coverage as required.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
