Job summary

Baton Rouge General Medical Center is seeking a Food Service Aide to support patient meals and food service operations in the hospital's production and service areas. Duties include washing utensils, receiving and disbursing supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment.

The role requires adherence to sanitation standards, HIPAA regulations, and safety policies. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, and prior food service experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas following proper sanitary procedures.
• Operates dish machine to clean dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, and other utensils.
• Performs daily cleaning of ranges, kettles, carts, pots, pans and other food service equipment.
• Assists in expediting the flow of work in the kitchen, storeroom and/or food service areas as assigned.
• Receives, stores and disburses foodstuffs and supplies from the storeroom.
