Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a Radiology Clinical Intern for variable shift, PRN work in Amarillo, TX. You will be under the direct supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist, assisting with patient positioning, room prep, equipment setup, and contrast administration as needed.

BLS certification and enrollment in the Amarillo College Radiography Program are required, with ongoing progress toward program completion. The role may require flexible scheduling to meet patient volumes.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Amarillo College Radiography Program.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Enrolled in an accredited radiography program with anticipated completion date.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Position patients' radiographic exams; prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and contrast medications.
• Must flex to accommodate volumes.
• When a Radiology student clinical intern is on-site and employed by Diagnostics Imaging, cannot make any radiation exposures per Texas Board rules.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing functions under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiologic Technologist.
• Positioning patients' radiographic exams, the aide is also responsible for preparing exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and contrast medications.
• Must flex to accommodate volumes.
• When a Radiology student clinical intern is on-site and working as an employee of the Diagnostic Imaging Department,
• The Radiology clinical intern must not make any radiation exposures in accordance with the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in Amarillo College Radiography Program.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited radiography program with an anticipated completion date as outlined in the radiography program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
