Qualifications

• Doctorate in Psychology from a school accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
• At least three years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time experience as a Licensed Psychologist in a recognized agency.
• Current and valid registration as a Psychologist with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Psychology.
• Travel may be required; MA license or equivalent required for travel.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall clinical leadership to the Regional Eligibility Team and trains staff on intellectual/developmental disability definitions and related conditions.
• Guides Eligibility Team Specialists in collecting structured and observational data related to adaptive functioning.
• Reviews historical records to determine the need for new assessments of intellectual and adaptive functioning.
• Writes eligibility determinations based on gathered information.
• Participates in all appeals of eligibility determinations with the Regional Manager.
• Collaborates with the Regional Nursing Home Specialist on eligibility for Nursing Facility candidates.
• Maintains knowledge of developments in psychological assessment and related subjects.
