Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery (Fellow) at CHLA

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, are seeking a full-time Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery (Fellow) specializing in pediatric orthopaedics. This position involves working alongside 11 full-time pediatric orthopaedic surgeons in a non-ACGME Advanced Training program at CHLA, beginning August 1 and ending July 31 the following year.

Responsibilities

1. Engage primarily in patient contact—approximately 90% of the time—in outpatient settings and operating rooms across multiple locations.
2. Gain extensive clinical and academic experience in diagnosing and managing a wide variety of pediatric orthopaedic conditions.
3. Run own half-day clinics and serve as attending on-call approximately once weekly at a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, with staff backup always available.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery program prior to fellowship.
• Board-eligible in orthopedic surgery.
• Valid California medical license and fluoroscopy license required before fellowship start.
