The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is the largest private employer in Los Angeles. The Vision Center at Children's Hospital Los Angeles offers a one-year AUPO FCC compliant fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, in collaboration with the USC Eye Institute and Keck School of Medicine. An optional second year is available. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in pediatric ophthalmology, including strabismus, anterior segment disease, retinopathy of prematurity, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and ocular oncology. It also offers a broad research experience in these areas.
The annual base salary ranges from $75,218 to $100,079. USC considers various factors when extending employment offers, including responsibilities, experience, education, key skills, and market conditions.
This is a full-time fellowship. Upon completion, fellows will be well-prepared for an academic career in pediatric ophthalmology. The fellowship includes a stipend. Fellows will split their time between the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Campus and Children's Hospital Los Angeles, predominantly at the latter.
