Job summary

Horizon Health in Paris, IL is seeking an EHR support specialist to assist physicians, nurses and clinic staff. The role is on-site in a rural health setting, focused on implementing and maintaining the electronic health record to improve workflow and patient care.

You will respond to end-user requests, train providers, and collaborate with software vendors to ensure regulatory compliance and interoperability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in nursing or informatics.
• 3–5 years of direct patient care experience using an EHR.
• Familiarity with Athena EHR preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports the EHR for physicians, nurses, and other providers.
• Evaluates, implements, and maintains EHR systems.
• Responds to end-user assistance requests promptly.
• Trains staff with adult learning principles during onboarding.
• Ensures regulatory alignment with Meaningful Use and interoperability.
• Assists in developing EHR policies and procedures.
