Job summary

Artemis ARC seeks a Clinical Informaticist II to support the VA Veterans Health Administration on the Operational Informatics Pipeline contract. You will assess clinician and Veteran needs from the EHR and refine clinical processes, decision support, and content in VistA/CPRS and the Federal EHR.

The role operates within SAFe Agile teams with Tier 1 SMEs and VA Business Owners to standardize content, manage informatics patient safety, and support go-live and sustainment activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Hands-right experience with EHRs or other clinical information systems (VistA/CPRS, Oracle Health, or Epic) in an analyst, informaticist, or build role.
• Experience assessing clinical information needs and evaluating or redesigning clinical workflows.
• Experience developing, implementing, or refining clinical decision support.
• Must reside and work in the United States with U.S. work authorization and be able to obtain a VA background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Needs Assessment: assess clinician and Veteran information needs and translate into VistA/CPRS and Federal EHR requirements.
• Clinical Process Evaluation: characterize, evaluate, and refine clinical processes and workflows.
• Clinical Decision Support: develop, implement, and refine alerts, order sets, PowerPlans, reminders, templates, and rules.
• Clinical Content Standardization: support enterprise standardization across VA medical centers through governance.
• Clinical Information Systems Lifecycle: participate in customization, implementation, management, evaluation, and improvement of clinical IT systems.
• EHR Issue Management: analyze issues and recommend content or configuration fixes.
• Go-Live and Sustainment Support: support VA site go-lives and sustainment including testing and validation.
• Informatics Patient Safety: analyze health IT safety issues and safety monitors tied to content.
• Clinical Content Across Exchange: ensure content displays correctly when data is exchanged with other providers.
• Evaluation and Improvement: measure impact using usage data and clinician feedback to refine builds.
• Agile Team Participation: participate in PI Planning, backlog refinement, iteration ceremonies, and system demos.
