Job Summary

The Clinical Informatics Analyst II reports to the Manager of Clinical Informatics. Under limited supervision, this role collaborates with end users and Information Solutions (IS) to design and deploy clinical information technologies supporting safe and efficient patient care. The position involves intermediate to moderately complex technical and analytical work to support clinical information systems. It also serves as a mentor to junior staff, aiding in their informatics skill development. The role works with senior leaders, team members, and the clinical enterprise on planning, designing, developing, training, implementing, and managing projects related to Information Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a healthcare discipline (e.g., Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology, Respiratory, Occupational or Physical Therapy, Pharmacy); Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of three years clinical experience and two years in clinical informatics (development, implementation, support of clinical systems).
• Epic certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Industry-recognized informatics or IT certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Demonstrated project management experience; PMP and Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Active licensure in discipline (RN, RT, etc.) by the South Carolina Board or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions involving standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors, working from elevated or confined spaces, bending, twisting, squatting, pinching, grasping, manipulating, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and other physical activities as detailed in the original description. Vision and hearing acuity must be maintained, along with the ability to handle stressful situations and work rotating shifts or overtime as needed.
