Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Clinical Informatics Analyst II to design and implement clinical information systems, mentoring colleagues while collaborating with IS and end users. You will support care delivery and participate in large strategic initiatives, training staff and managing projects across the enterprise.

The role requires clinician experience with informatics, Epic certification within 6 months, and relevant IT certifications, with PMP and Six Sigma Green Belt

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in healthcare discipline required.
• Three years clinical experience and two years clinical informatics experience required.
• Epic Certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Industry informatics/IT certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Demonstrated project management experience; PMP preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Active licensure in discipline by SC Board of Nursing or compact state.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with end users and IS to design and deploy clinical information technologies.
• Mentor junior staff and facilitate acquisition of informatics skills.
• Plan, design, develop, train, implement, and manage informatics projects across the enterprise.
