Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Cherry Hospital, seeks a Program Analyst I (NS) to serve as the Clinical Informatics Specialist. The role analyzes complex clinical, operational, and technology workflows and uses that analysis to design, implement, and evaluate system improvements affecting hospital-wide operations and the Electronic Health Record (EPIC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) such as quick learning, communication, and problem solving are preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records and hospital operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex clinical, operational, and technology-related workflows to recommend, design, implement, and evaluate system improvements across hospital-wide operations.
• Provide independent consultation, technical assistance, and program/project administration for the EHR (EPIC).
• Support integration of patient care processes, regulatory requirements, and EHR workflows to optimize documentation and patient safety.
