Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Histotechnologist to join the Translational Medicine Department’s Clinical Histology Core. You will prepare serial sections, handle FFPE tissue, and perform IHC and in situ analyses that inform immuno-oncology trials.

You will operate automated staining and scanner systems, maintain instruments, and collaborate across Research and Translational Medicine teams to ensure high-quality data and reproducible results. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• BS with 2+ years of relevant histology experience.
• Proven track record working with human FFPE tissue.
• Experience cutting serial sections, including limited tissue.
• Experience sectioning biopsy samples.
• Strong organizational, computer, and time management skills; able to work in a team and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare serial sections from biopsy samples, where section quality directly influences downstream staining and analysis.
• Cut control tissue, such as tonsil, for IHC and in situ hybridization studies.
• Perform H&E staining on automated instruments.
• Operate automated staining platforms, maintaining instruments and preparing bulk solutions.
• Receive clinical samples from outside collaborators, recording sample details and processing tissue.
• Scan slides on an automated slide scanner, QC images, and transfer files to the server.
• Work independently on the planning and execution of staining runs.
• Bring a willingness to learn new techniques and expand your role within the group.
