Job summary

Midwestern Career College (MCC) seeks an Externship Coordinator to secure and manage clinical placements for allied health students. You will serve as the key liaison between MCC, students, and clinical partners, supporting student success and employer pipeline development.

The role requires on-campus presence, relationship-building with healthcare partners, and the ability to manage a high volume of students across multiple programs. Local travel for site visits is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Secure and coordinate clinical placements for students across all allied health programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, and outpatient facilities.
• Conduct in-person and virtual site visits as MCC liaison with clinical partners.
• Assess student readiness and assign placements based on performance and requirements.
• Monitor student progress, attendance, and performance during rotations.
• Ensure students meet externship requirements (compliance, onboarding, scheduling).
• Track placement activity and report weekly.
• Collaborate with Program Directors to align placement strategy with program needs.
