Job description

About Us

Thesis is building the AI-powered care team platform for infinitely scalable clinical capacity. We radically increase access and improve quality of care by combining AI agents with clinical experts to take on high-impact clinical operations and care management activities for healthcare organizations.

We're based in NYC, are growing rapidly, and are backed by $60 million in funding from Oak HC/FT, CRV, Black Opal Ventures, and experienced C-level healthtech angel investors.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and versatile nurse practitioner to join Thesis as a foundational member of our clinical operations team. This is a broad-scope utility player role for a clinician who is equally comfortable performing hands-on care management work, collaborating with product and engineering teams to refine automated technology workflows, and coaching staff on quality and clinical standards. You will work across Thesis's full portfolio of care team agents, supporting everything from chronic condition management and care gap outreach to complex prior authorizations and clinical documentation improvement. In this role, you will serve as an expert-in-the-loop: the clinical voice that ensures we deliver safe, high-quality care at scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-impact clinical work : Perform care management outreach, chronic condition follow-ups, care gap closure, and other clinical activities powered by Thesis's AI platform.
  • Support complex clinical operations workflows : Review prior authorizations, appeals, and other clinical-administrative tasks that require human clinical judgment.
  • Provide quality oversight : Conduct quality audits of clinical operations activities, identify trends in errors or gaps, and develop remediation plans. Maintain and evolve quality scorecards and clinical rubrics.
  • Develop clinical content and coach staff : Build the clinical protocols, scripts, and decision-support content that power Thesis AI agents, and onboard and train clinical team members on Thesis's platform, workflows, and quality standards.
  • Partner with product and engineering : Serve as a clinical subject matter expert, participating in workflow design sessions, testing new agent capabilities, identifying edge cases, and providing feedback.
We expect you to have:
  • Active clinical licensure : Current NP or equivalent clinical license in good standing. Multi-state or Compact licensure is a plus.
  • Strong clinical experience : 2-5 years spanning direct patient care and virtual or telephonic care delivery, with meaningful exposure to care management, utilization management, prior authorization, or population health workflows.
  • Healthtech experience : Prior experience in a healthtech company, venture-backed startup, health plan, or technology-enabled clinical services organization.
  • Quality mindset and entrepreneurial approach : You are detail-oriented, comfortable delivering constructive feedback, and energized by early-stage environments where you're creating processes from the ground up.
  • Location : This is a remote role based in the continental US.

Target compensation for this role is $100-140k+, plus a generous benefits package. Compensation within this range will depend on experience, licensure level, and scope of responsibilities.

Please note: This role is staffed through our employment partner. The third party company will be your employer of record (payroll, benefits, HR), while you'll work directly with the Thesis Care team on daily responsibilities.

Thesis Care is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
