  • Identify incomplete or time-sensitive items and follow up with candidates and staff to support timely placement completion.

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

This position provides essential administrative and operationalsupport to the Office of Clinical Experience and serves as aprimary point of contact for teacher certification candidates andK-12 school partners. The Coordinator manages practicum placementprocesses, partnership agreements, records, and routinecommunications to help ensure organized, high-quality clinicallearning experiences. The role works closely with the Director ofClinical Operations and the Student Coordinator for communityagency placements and reports to the Director of TeacherEducation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Placement Coordination and Candidate Support - 25%
  • Coordinate practicum and teacher certification placementprocesses, including collection, review, and tracking of placementinformation and required documentation.
  • Serve as a primary contact for candidates regarding placementtimelines, requirements, status updates, and routinequestions.
  • Identify incomplete or time-sensitive items and follow up withcandidates and appropriate staff to support timely placementcompletion.
K-12 School Partnership Support - 25%
  • Communicate with K-12 school partners regarding placementavailability, candidate assignments, site requirements, andlogistical details.
  • Support consistent, responsive relationships with partner schoolsby maintaining accurate contact information and documenting keycommunications.
  • Coordinate routine placement changes or concerns with theDirector of Clinical Operations and other appropriatestakeholders.
Agreement, Data, and Records Management - 25%
  • Maintain organized and accurate records for practicum placements,partnership agreements, candidate assignments, and relatedcorrespondence.
  • Track the status, renewal, and completion of partnershipagreements and route documents to the appropriate parties forreview or signature.
  • Use university systems, shared files, spreadsheets, and othertechnology to enter data, monitor deadlines, and prepare routinereports or summaries.
Office Operations and Collaborative Support - 25%
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Office ofClinical Experience, including scheduling, document preparation,correspondence, and general workflow coordination.
  • Work closely with the Director of Clinical Operations and theStudent Coordinator for community agency placements to alignprocesses and address operational needs.
  • Assist with process improvements, special projects, meetings, andother activities that support effective clinical experiences andexternal partnerships.

As with all positions, may perform other job-relatedresponsibilities as needed to support departmental and campus-wideneeds.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily performed in a professional office environmentwith frequent computer use and regular interaction with students,faculty, staff, and external K-12 partners. The role requiresprolonged sitting, routine use of standard office equipment, andoccasional movement of light materials or files. The positioninvolves sustained attention to detail, management of multipledeadlines, and professional communication regarding placement needsand requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have formal supervisoryresponsibilities.

Shift

40 hours/week. Monday thru Friday.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education andexperience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparableknowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with K-12 schools and related systems.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$21.00/hour
