Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program to provide exercise prescriptions, therapy and education to patients. The role may include additional support services as required and relies on therapeutic use of self, technology and collaboration with other healthcare team members.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with national certification (ACSM EP-C/CEP or AACVPR CCRP) or a Master’s in Exercise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with national certification (ACSM EP-C/CEP or AACVPR CCRP) or Master’s in Exercise Physiology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical and technical aspects of exercise physiology and training.
• Complete Basic Arrhythmia course within six months of hire.
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Required Qualifications

• Require either:Graduate of Bachelor Exercise Science Degree program WITH National Certification from ACSM, EP-C or CEP, or AACVPR, CCRP (within 6 months of hire date)- OR -Graduate of Exercise Physiology Master Degree Program
• Require demonstrated knowledge of clinical and technical aspects of exercise physiology and training.
• Require successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course within six (6) months of hire.
• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Required License and Certs

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR

Preferred License and Certs

Per Diem position willing to travel to all Cardiopulmonary Rehab locations - North Port, Blackburn Point, Clark Rd, Heart Pavilion at main campus, and Heritage Harbour
