Responsibilities

• Administer exercise stress tests and supervise clinic-based exercise training programs for patients with chronic diseases.
• Provide physical activity consultation and counseling in weight management and bariatric care.
• Obtain medical histories, review medications, and assess symptoms and vital signs during rest and exercise.
• Interpret ECGs and perform point-of-care assessments to ensure patient safety and progress.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Deliver specialized care to diverse populations, including elderly, frail adults, children, and those with intellectual disabilities.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in exercise science/physiology or related field.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for the healthcare provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a clinical exercise setting.
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) certification.
