Conducting comprehensive sexual offender risk assessments. There are specific reports for offender type: juveniles, males, females, and non-contact offenders. There are additional specialized reports that include those cases that are court ordered and when a sex offender requests a reevaluation of the original assessment or prior reevaluation. The evaluator must be able to identify risk relevant information from collateral documents, which includes static risk factors, dynamic risk factors, protective factors, and individualized risk factors.

Attending training. All new hires are required to attend approximately 12 weeks of intensive in-office training. Training is used to provide the evaluator with everything that is needed to conduct a classification. There is feedback monthly and then quarterly for the first year, which is a probationary period for employment in this position. After that year, it is expected that an evaluator can complete a certain number of cases depending on various factors.
