Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Clinical Equipment Technician (PCE) to clean, disinfect, and deliver medical equipment and supplies across clinical units. You will perform rounds to rotate portable equipment and oxygen cylinders, document activities in the Equipment Management system, and assist with inventory and re-ordering.

The role requires a High School diploma, six months of on-the-job training, and a 3:00pm–11:30pm shift with rotating weekends and holidays; pay range is $18.00–$25.82

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus six months on-the-job training.
• Ability to use Windows-based maintenance management program to enter and retrieve service records.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; capable of working independently or in a team.
• Problem solving, prioritization, and time management skills for a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Customer service skills to deal with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, cleans, disinfects, and transports medical equipment as requested by clinical units.
• Performs daily rounds to rotate portable equipment and oxygen cylinders.
• Documents PCE activities in the Equipment Management system.
• Inspects equipment for operation and performs basic troubleshooting.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of storage rooms.
• Maintains the code cart exchange program and documents in Maximo post event.
• Coordinates with Medical Engineering for repairs and expedites discharges with DME delivery.
