GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This position provides service support and preventive maintenance on general biomedical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, ophthalmoscopes, vacuum regulators, SCDs, etc.) and general imaging modalities (e.g., general radiology rooms, ultrasound, processors, etc.) during normal working hours and on-call rotation as required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete scheduled maintenance in accordance with PM Inspection and Protocol management plan. Document after repair or PM is completed. (45%)
  • Respond to unscheduled service requests by verifying problems, troubleshooting, and correcting issues. (35%)
  • Assist in medical equipment installation as required. (10%)
  • Support other technical positions in Clinical Engineering and departments as needed. (5%)
  • Attend manufacturer service schools, in-house training, and self-study as required. (5%)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Graduate from an electronic technical school OR 3 years of relevant experience
  • Associate degree in biomedical or electronic engineering

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining biomedical equipment
