Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a Clinical Engineering Technician to plan, organize, and carry out skilled repairs, preventive maintenance, and incoming inspections within a pediatric setting.

You will apply comprehensive knowledge of medical equipment and procedures while performing professional responsibilities and handling various duties as required. This full-time onsite role supports the hospital in Akron, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronic technology or related field required.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in biomedical field required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.
• Valid State driver's license and ability to obtain insurability.

Technical Expertise

• 1. Experience in the biomedical field is required.
• 2. Experience with all patient care equipment within the pediatric facility is required.

• 5. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• 6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education and Experience

• 1. Education: Associate's degree in electronic technology or related field is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 2. Certification: None.
• 3. Years of relevant experience: 5 to 7 years is preferred.
• 4. Years of experience supervising: None.

• Possesses a valid Statedriver's license and ability to obtain and maintain insurability as determined by the ACH insurance carrier's requirements.

• An annual physical is required to be completed with the Akron Children's Hospital Employee Health Department.
