Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering and hands-on experience in biomedical instrumentation; ACCE/AMMI certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Clinical Engineering with 2 years of experience or 5 years in anesthesia/biomedical instrumentation repair; Masters may substitute.
• ACCE or AMMI Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots critical care instrumentation in use in ICU or surgical areas.
• Diagnoses sources of operational failure of patient-related equipment.
• Performs assurance testing per written protocols for equipment in critical care/surgery.
• Performs emergency and routine repairs on instrumentation used in critical care and/or surgery.
• Maintains detailed product files and communicates with manufacturers.
• Assists in capital acquisition planning for critical care and surgical areas.
• Collaborates with managers and clinicians on in-service education content.
• Follows safety, infection control, and regulatory procedures.
