Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician Senior to perform electrical safety testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs for biomedical and laboratory equipment across the hospital. The role involves maintaining inventory, supporting performance assurance guidelines, and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience (4+ years in biomedical instrumentation).
Under general supervision, provides and performs electrical safety testing, calibration, troubleshooting, performance assurance testing and emergency repairs for all biomedical, laboratory and associated medical instrumentation used throughout the Boston Medical Center. Orders supplies and parts for equipment and stock inventory. Maintains an accurate computer database of equipment which includes: departmental wide inventory, repair data and retired equipment. Assists in the establishment of performance assurance guidelines as part of a comprehensive electrical safety program. Participates in an on-call rotation (nights, weekends and holidays). Supports off-site locations.
