This position partners closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, and operational leaders to evaluate workflows, coordinate system improvements, and support governance decisions. The Clinical ESA plays a critical role in EHR implementation, optimization, content validation, clinical decision support, and ongoing enhancement efforts by translating clinical needs into technology solutions that improve user experience, quality outcomes, and operational performance.

The following functions are fundamental to the position and are required of all incumbents, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions define the role and are not an exhaustive list of all duties.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Sciences, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health, or a related healthcare field required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical practice, health informatics, quality improvement, healthcare technology, or workflow improvement.
Experience supporting clinical workflows, EHR optimization, workflow redesign, or healthcare technology initiatives preferred.
Experience with Epic, OCHIN Epic, or other electronic health record systems strongly preferred.
Experience participating in clinical governance, operational improvement, or implementation projects preferred.
Post-secondary education or experience that provides the expertise required to perform the functions of the position effectively may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Individuals must have applicable education or experience applying a body of standardized rules, procedures, or operations to perform the full range of standard clerical assignments and resolve recurring problems or to operate and adjust varied equipment for purposes such as performing numerous standardized tests or operations.
