Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Trios Health in Kennewick, WA is seeking a Clinical Educator to develop and implement education programs for staff, including onboarding and ongoing training.

The role requires a BSN, 3–5 years of clinical experience, and experience in adult education, with MSN preferred and BLS Instructor eligibility within 3 years. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of recent clinical experience with ongoing mastery of relevant clinical skills.
  • Experience in adult education and staff development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for staff.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs to support employee development.
  • Partner with leadership to identify learning needs and implement education and patient safety initiatives.
  • Monitor and share performance data to support continuous improvement.
  • Lead education-related projects, committees, and team development activities.
  • Provide education, coaching, and subject matter expertise to staff and leaders.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and support changes in nursing practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize learning management and data systems to support programs and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and licensing requirements.

Position Summary

The Clinical Educator is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and organizing a variety of education activities including individual, department and hospital wide programs.

  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for staff.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs to support employee development and organizational goals.
  • Partner with leadership to identify learning needs and implement education, quality, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and share performance data to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead education-related projects, committees, and team development activities.
  • Provide education, coaching, and subject matter expertise to staff and leaders.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and support changes in nursing practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize learning management and data systems to support education programs and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and applicable federal, state, accreditation, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a minimum education of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Preferred Master's Degree.

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider Instructor within 3 years of accepting or transferring into the position.
  • BLS
  • Minimum Work Experience 3-5 years of recent clinical experience with ongoing ability to demonstrate mastery of relevant clinical skills.
  • Sufficient previous experience in adult education
