Position Summary
Posting Note: We are looking for a passionate Clinical Educator to join our NICU team. If you are an experienced neonatal clinician who enjoys teaching, coaching, and helping others grow through evidence based practice, we would love to hear from you. In this role, you will work with bedside staff, nurse leaders, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the care team to strengthen the knowledge and skills needed to provide safe, high quality care for newborns and their families. You will identify learning needs, develop education programs, support staff onboarding and competency, and promote professional growth. This position develops, implements, and evaluates proactive educational plans and programs to address staff and departmental needs to ensure ongoing enhancement and improvement of staff skills, competencies and professional growth in accordance with established standards, requirements and regulations.
Position Duties
- Collaborates with colleagues within the educational department to support the departmental strategic plan and ongoing institutional growth.
- Collaborates with other disciplines and departments as a change agent and participates in the evaluation of outcomes.
- Engages in ongoing organizational endeavors which support the philosophy and values of Phoenix Children's, nursing, model of care and professional development of staff.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates learning opportunities based on evidence using a variety of teaching strategies.
- Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to enhance own professional growth and development.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

- Bachelors degree in Nursing.

- One year experience in a preceptor or leadership role in the specific specialty area.
- Two years clinical pediatric nursing experience.
- Adult teaching experience.

- Current State of Arizona RN license.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- National Certification in clinical specialty and/or nursing professional development.
