Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System in Fayetteville, NC seeks an experienced Clinical Educator to advance nursing, clinical and lab staff development. You will design orientation, in-service and continuing education, and coordinate mandatory trainings across clinics.

Travel to up to 25 clinics is required; you will collaborate with Physician Office Managers and clinical leaders to ensure staff competencies and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina required.
• Current AHA BLS required.
• Must enroll in Bachelor’s degree program within six months of employment with a completion date of three years from enrollment.
• Must obtain AHA BLS Instructor certification within six months of hire date.
• 3 years outpatient clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Travel to up to 25 clinics is required; mileage is compensated.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the educational development and professional growth of assigned nursing, clinical and lab personnel.
• Develops and implements orientation, in-service and continuing education for staff.
• Coordinates planning and presentation of formal/informal education for all clinic staff.
• Assists in program development and evaluation for staff.
• Precepts by providing classroom and clinical instruction for orientation and internships.
• Communicates requirements for education files and staff competencies to Physician Office Managers.
• Attends Clinical Educator Meetings, Quality, Infection Prevention and Lab VAT committees.
• Trains staff on new equipment or products and participates in audits.
