Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Clinical Educator for the Medical Group Clinics. This full-time, days-shift role focuses on developing and delivering orientation, in-service education, and ongoing staff development for nursing, clinical and lab personnel across multiple clinics.

The educator will coordinate formal and informal education, support staff competencies, precept new hires and interns, and participate in committees related to quality and infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• RN licensure in North Carolina is required.
• Current AHA BLS is required.
• Must enroll in Bachelor's degree program within six months of employment.
• Must obtain AHA BLS Instructor certification within six months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assess clinic processes for improvement and identify opportunities.
• Coordinate planning and presentation of formal and informal education for all clinic staff.
• Provide input to physicians and managers for staff evaluations.
• Act as a preceptor providing classroom and clinic instruction for orientation/internships.
• Communicate education file requirements and completion of staff competencies.

Responsibilities include development and implementation of orientation, in-service and continuing education for the staff, including new employee orientation period mandatories, point of care lab testing checkoffs, and annual clinical skills check-offs.# **Major Job Functions**The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below.
