Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System's Ferncreek General Surgery in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Nursing Support professional to assist physicians and licensed staff. You will take patient vital signs, update charts, collect samples, and help with procedures under supervision, ensuring safety and quality care.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a completed Medical Assistant program with a recognized certification, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a nationally recognized certification is required (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.).
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, dignity, and well-being.

• Chaperone and set up for procedures and examinations as needed.
• Assist in obtaining patient vitals and updating charts per visit.
• Coordinate with outside providers and manage scheduling and billing inputs.
