Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health seeks a Clinical Educator for the Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit in Fayetteville, NC. This full-time day position supports education, orientation, and continuing professional development for nursing staff, including agency personnel.

Responsibilities include coordinating formal education, maintaining competency records, and driving quality improvements while serving as a clinical expert and role model for the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and clinical instruction for orientation for all unit nursing staff, nurse residencies and agency staff.
• Coordinate planning and presentation of formal and informal education for nursing staff.
• Coordinate staff participation in required education and annual competencies.
• Maintain education files and documentation of staff competencies.
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement through audits and observations.
• Assist in development and evaluation of unit goals and clinical competence.
• Serve as a professional role model and consultant for the unit.
